the dandy - penhaligons fragrance launch

Penhaligons tasked me with photographing and directing a mixed media campaign to showcase their latest fragrance, The Dandy. True to Penhaligons, the brief was unique and imaginative. Our concept transported the audience to a 1920s speakeasy, with a custom soundtrack featured throughout the videos. The incredible prop styling and set design helped create stunning visuals, while the colour grade enhanced the 1920s aesthetic, toning down the digital feel for a more natural, filmic look—yet still modern.

The shoot was an exciting challenge, requiring meticulous attention to detail and precision to blend period authenticity with a contemporary edge. Over the course of the shoot, we produced a wealth of assets, and I’m deeply thankful to the incredible team who made it all possible. Photographer Tim Johnston and lighting assistant Bethany Crutchfield played an integral role in delivering such a large volume of work. Their expertise in lighting, composition, and adaptability to the constantly evolving shoot made a massive impact on bringing the vision to life.

As always, the Penhaligons team were fantastic—full of fresh ideas and always pushing us to go further. Their collaborative spirit consistently elevates our work.

With minimal crew and a lot to shoot, behind the scenes was lacking on this project. I did manage to pinch the odd image and video from crew. Thanks guys!
